WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army inside linebacker Leo Lowin has received an invitation to participate in rookie minicamp with the Carolina Panthers.
Lowin played in 47 career games for the Black Knights starting all 23 games he played in over the last two seasons (2022-23). He racked up 235 career tackles which ranks 30th most by an Army defender since 1971.
This past season he was one of four team captains, as the Austin, Texas native led Army in tackles for the second consecutive season posting 92 tackles (47 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and four forced fumbles which ranked tied for third most in the country.
Lowin also was a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy (Academic Heisman) and was a member of 2023 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments.
In 2022 he was named the Army-Navy Game Player of the Game, voted on by the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association, where he posted a career-high 16 tackles.
Lowin now joins fellow teammate and team captain Jimmy Ciarlo, who received an undrafted free-agent opportunity with the New York Jets at the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
