Former Franck Ribéry has weighed in on the race for this season’s UEFA Champions League title, naming his standout favourite as the competition reaches its decisive stages.

According to him, City’s experience in high-pressure matches and their ability to control games make them particularly dangerous opponents. He also highlighted the influence of manager Pep Guardiola, whose tactical approach continues to evolve and give his side an edge against Europe’s elite.
Ribéry noted that while several clubs remain strong contenders, including Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City’s balance between attack and defense sets them apart. He emphasized that their squad depth allows them to cope with injuries and maintain a high level of performance throughout the competition.
The former winger, who won the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2013, added that the knockout stages often bring surprises, but teams with structure and experience tend to prevail in the end.
As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on whether Manchester City can justify Ribéry’s backing or if another European giant will rise to claim the coveted trophy.
