Tehran — The Iranian Red Crescent Society has reported that at least 201 people have been killed and 747 injured following a series of coordinated strikes it attributes to joint U.S.-Israeli military operations across 24 provinces in Iran.
According to the humanitarian organization, emergency teams have been deployed nationwide to assist victims, provide medical aid, and support displaced families. The strikes reportedly targeted multiple sites, with explosions heard in both urban and rural areas, causing widespread panic among residents.
Rescue workers described harrowing scenes of destruction, with damaged residential buildings, shattered infrastructure, and overwhelmed medical facilities struggling to cope with the influx of casualties.
“Our volunteers are working around the clock under extremely dangerous conditions,” a spokesperson for the Iranian Red Crescent said. “The priority is saving lives, evacuating the injured, and ensuring basic medical supplies reach affected areas.”
Hospitals in several provinces are reportedly operating beyond capacity, prompting urgent appeals for blood donations and medical assistance. Field clinics have been established in some regions to ease the pressure on major healthcare centers.
Iranian officials have condemned the alleged attacks, calling them a violation of international law and vowing that a response would follow. Meanwhile, authorities in Washington and Jerusalem have not immediately issued detailed statements regarding the reported operations.
International observers have expressed concern that the escalation could destabilize the wider region, already strained by ongoing geopolitical tensions. Diplomatic channels are reportedly active, with several global powers urging restraint and immediate de-escalation to prevent further loss of civilian life.
Human rights organizations have called for an independent investigation into the strikes to verify casualty figures and assess the humanitarian impact.
As emergency crews continue rescue operations, families across the affected provinces mourn their losses, while uncertainty looms over what may come next in an increasingly volatile situation.
