McElhenney is clearly looking forward to the big game and has recruited a new fan for his team in time for the match. The actor has persuaded two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning to root for his team as they come up against NFL legend Brady’s side.
WHAT MCELHENNEY SAID
The club announced their new super fan on social media with a post that read: “We are honoured that [Eli Manning] has coincidentally, (because Co-chairmen [Rob McElhenney] & [Ryan Reynolds] begged him) joined the @Wrexham_AFC fanbase, just in time for our match over at @TomBrady’s @BCFC on Monday night.”
McElhenney then replied with a message aimed at Brady: “Tom I’m sure we both see this face in our nightmares but I’m starting to like him.”
