Radiohead Is Back: New Album and Worldwide Tour Dates Confirmed

After years of silence, Radiohead has officially announced their long-awaited return with a brand-new studio album and an ambitious world tour set to begin later this year. The news has sent shockwaves through the music world, reigniting excitement among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the band’s comeback since their last full group activity in 2018.

The announcement came via the band’s official website and social media platforms, where they revealed the title of the new album, “Circle to Ground”, set for release on September 20, 2025. The album is described as a “return to form with experimental layers, haunting melodies, and socio-political undertones,” echoing elements of Kid A and In Rainbows while forging a new sonic path. Produced by longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, “Circle to Ground” is expected to feature 12 tracks, including the lead single “Signal Loss,” which debuts this Friday across streaming platforms.

Frontman Thom Yorke shared a message to fans: “This album came from a place of both disconnection and clarity. We felt the need to reflect on the state of the world, and ourselves, through music again—together.” The message was accompanied by a brief teaser video showing behind-the-scenes studio footage and a short instrumental piece from the album.

In addition to the album announcement, Radiohead has confirmed an extensive world tour that will kick off in October 2025 in Dublin, Ireland. The first leg includes major cities across Europe such as Berlin, Paris, and Barcelona, followed by North American dates in early 2026. The band is set to headline major venues including London’s O2 Arena, New York’s Madison Square Garden, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. South American and Asian legs are also in the works, with additional dates expected to be announced later this summer.

Tickets will go on sale starting June 7, with pre-sale access available to members of the band’s fan club, W.A.S.T.E. A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to climate action and refugee relief organizations, causes the band has long supported.

This marks Radiohead’s first major project as a full group since their 2016 album A Moon Shaped Pool. In recent years, members pursued side projects, most notably Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s band The Smile. But the group’s return under the Radiohead banner is being hailed as one of the most anticipated musical events of the decade.

With a new album, a bold message, and a worldwide tour on the horizon, it’s clear: Radiohead is back—and the world is listening.
