Punk Legends Unite: Rare Archives Unearthed and Global Reunion Tour Announced

  • Punk Legends Unite: Rare Archives Unearthed and Global Reunion Tour ANNOUNCES

In a historic move that has electrified punk rock fans around the world, several pioneering underground punk bands from the 1970s and 1980s have announced the release of never-before-heard recordings—alongside a limited-run global reunion tour titled Resurrect the Noise.

The announcement, made via a surprise press conference streamed from the iconic CBGB site in New York, revealed that bands including The Wipers, The Germs (with surviving members), Crass, and The Dead Boys have collaborated with independent archivists and labels to release ultra-rare demos, basement tapes, and live bootlegs that were thought to be lost forever.

The collection, titled Buried But Loud, will span a multi-volume vinyl box set and digital release, including a zine-style booklet packed with unseen photos, handwritten lyrics, and behind-the-scenes stories from the early punk scene.

Even more exciting is the Resurrect the Noise tour, which will feature original members and carefully chosen guest musicians for bands with deceased or inactive members. The tour is expected to include 15 cities across North America, Europe, and Japan, with iconic punk venues reopening for special dates.

“We’re not doing this for nostalgia,” said Greg Sage of The Wipers. “This is for the people who kept the scene alive when no one was watching.”

Tickets go on sale next month, and the Buried But Loud box set is available for pre-order now in limited quantities.

For punk devotees, this announcement is more than a revival—it’s a resurrection.
