Several media sources claim that Port Vale have made a six figure bid for a striker.
According to the reports Vale have made a six figure bid for Queens Park striker Ruari Paton and according to some sources a deal could be close.
The 23 year-old scored 22 times in the Scottish Championship last season.
Vale are likely to be in the market for a striker after the departure of Ryan Loft and have been linked with Paton before.
