Port Vale have secured the services of midfielder Brandon Cover on a season-long loan from Leicester City.
The 20-year-old, who has been part of Leicester’s system since he was seven, made his senior debut for the Premier League club earlier this year in an FA Cup victory against Birmingham City.
Cover has already gained international experience, having made his debut for Jamaica’s U23 team in June 2023 during a series of friendlies.
Port Vale Manager Darren Moore expressed his excitement about the new addition to the squad.
“I am delighted to welcome Brandon to Vale Park,” Moore said.
“It’s a deal that’s been a few weeks in the making and I am excited to finally get it over the line.”
Moore highlighted Cover’s adaptability and competitive nature as key attributes that will benefit Port Vale this season.
“He is a versatile, combative player who also enjoys getting on the ball, and I’m sure he will be a real asset for us as the season progresses,” he added.
