Muzz Skillings Set to Reunite with Living Colour for Special Anniversary Tour
In a thrilling development for fans of rock music, especially those who have followed Living Colour since their groundbreaking debut, it has been confirmed that Muzz Skillings, the band’s original bassist, will reunite with the band for a special series of performances marking the 40th anniversary of their formation.
The reunion, which had long been hoped for but never officially expected, will feature Skillings joining Corey Glover, Vernon Reid, Will Calhoun, and Doug Wimbish on select dates during the 2025–2026 tour. Sources close to the band have revealed that the reunion is more than a nostalgic appearance—it’s a celebration of their rich musical legacy, and a tribute to the unique chemistry that catapulted them into international fame with albums like Vivid and Time’s Up.
“Reconnecting with Muzz on stage after all these years is more than a musical moment—it’s a full-circle experience,” said guitarist Vernon Reid in a statement. “The foundation we built with him is still part of everything we do today.”
Skillings, who left the band in 1992 to pursue other creative ventures, including his project Medicine Stick, said he feels “honored and energized” to be returning for this milestone. “Time has passed, but the spirit of the music hasn’t changed,” he shared.
The reunion is set to include performances of early classics such as “Cult of Personality,” “Open Letter (To a Landlord),” and deep cuts that haven’t been played live in decades. Fans and critics alike have expressed overwhelming excitement, viewing the reunion as not just a celebration of the past, but a powerful reminder of Living Colour’s continued relevance.
Tickets for the reunion shows are expected to sell out quickly.
