Motörhead Rises Again: Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee Announce New Album and Reunion Tour
In a move no one saw coming, rock legends Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee have announced the reunion of Motörhead, nearly a decade after the band officially disbanded following the death of frontman Lemmy Kilmister in 2015. The surprise news comes with a double bombshell: a brand-new Motörhead album and a world tour set to kick off in early 2026.
Speaking at a press conference in London, Campbell opened with an emotional statement: “There’s no place like home. We’ve carried Motörhead in our blood every day since Lem passed. We can’t leave the band like this.”
The new album, titled “Born to Lose, Live to Win”, will feature a mix of unreleased recordings from Lemmy himself—sourced from demo sessions and live takes—as well as new material written and performed by Campbell and Dee, alongside a yet-to-be-named guest vocalist who, according to the duo, will “honor Lemmy’s spirit, not replace it.”
Mikkey Dee added, “This isn’t about replacing Lemmy. No one could. This is about celebrating what we built with him—and blasting it as loud as ever.”
The reunion tour will span North America, Europe, South America, and Japan, with iconic venues already teasing sold-out dates. The shows will feature a mix of classic Motörhead anthems like “Ace of Spades,” “Overkill,” and “Iron Fist,” as well as new tracks from the upcoming album.
Fans have responded with a wave of support and excitement across social media, hailing the move as both unexpected and deeply meaningful. While Lemmy’s absence is irreplaceable, the flame of Motörhead is clearly far from extinguished.
