London, UK – Legendary guitarist and singer-songwriter Mark Knopfler has announced plans for a highly-anticipated 2025 world tour, as well as a brand-new studio album.
The tour, which is set to kick off in spring 2025, will see Knopfler performing in some of the world’s most iconic venues, including London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Madison Square Garden, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
“I’m thrilled to be hitting the road again in 2025,” said Knopfler. “I’ve been working on some new music and I’m excited to share it with my fans. This tour is going to be a celebration of my entire career, with a mix of old and new songs.”
The new album, which is currently in production, will mark Knopfler’s ninth solo studio release. The album is expected to feature a mix of rock, blues, and folk, showcasing Knopfler’s signature blend of guitar virtuosity and poetic lyrics.
“I’ve been feeling very inspired lately, and I think this new album is going to be something special,” said Knopfler. “I’m excited to share it with my fans and to perform it live on stage.”
The 2025 world tour will feature a talented band, including guitarist Richard Bennett, bassist Glenn Worf, and drummer Chad Cromwell.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale in the coming weeks, with exclusive pre-sale opportunities available for Mark Knopfler fan club members.
