“Lost George Harrison Recordings to Be Released in Historic 2025 Archive Project”
In a groundbreaking announcement that has electrified Beatles and George Harrison fans worldwide, Dhani Harrison and the George Harrison Estate have confirmed the release of a long-rumored treasure trove of unreleased George Harrison recordings, set to debut in October 2025.
Titled “George Harrison: The Vault Sessions,” this expansive collection will feature over 40 previously unheard tracks, demos, and studio outtakes recorded between 1970 and 1999. Many of these songs were crafted during sessions for landmark albums like All Things Must Pass, Living in the Material World, and Cloud Nine, but were never released—until now.
The announcement comes after years of speculation and careful curation. According to Dhani Harrison, the collection includes rare collaborations with Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, and even early experiments with synthesizers and Indian instrumentation that showcase George’s pioneering musical vision.
“What we found wasn’t just music—it was insight into the way Dad thought and felt. These songs are intimate, raw, sometimes unfinished, but full of heart,” said Dhani in a statement. “He didn’t release them at the time, but now feels like the right moment.”
In addition to the music, the box set will include handwritten lyrics, unseen photographs, and commentary from musicians and friends who worked closely with George. The deluxe edition will come with a limited-run book titled “In His Own Words,” featuring reflections from Harrison’s journals and letters.
Fans are also buzzing about a lead single from the collection—a heartfelt ballad titled “Cosmic Love,” set for release in August. It marks the first “new” Harrison solo track in over two decades.
This historic release promises not only to deepen appreciation for Harrison’s genius, but to reconnect the world with his spiritual and musical legacy in a powerful new way.
