“King Crimson Announce New Album and Final World Tour: A Farewell Worth Waiting For”
In a monumental announcement that has electrified the global music community, King Crimson has confirmed both the release of a brand-new studio album and a final world tour set for 2026 — marking the band’s first new material in over two decades and their definitive farewell to the stage.
The upcoming album, titled “Trisector”, is slated for release in March 2026 and promises to blend the band’s signature elements: haunting melodies, polyrhythmic complexity, searing guitar work, and a bold sense of experimentation. According to founder and guitarist Robert Fripp, “This album is the culmination of everything Crimson has explored — a sound shaped by time, reflection, and fire.”
Recorded secretly over the last 18 months, the album features a powerhouse lineup: Robert Fripp, Tony Levin, Jakko Jakszyk, and the return of Adrian Belew on guitar and vocals, with Gavin Harrison on drums. Guest appearances by legendary drummer Bill Bruford on two tracks add further weight to the project’s legacy.
Coinciding with the album release, the band will embark on the “Trisector: The Final Tour”, beginning in April 2026 in London and spanning North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The tour will serve as a retrospective journey through the band’s vast discography — from In the Court of the Crimson King to the brand-new tracks from Trisector.
In a joint statement, the band said, “This is not a reunion for nostalgia. It’s a final offering — an act of gratitude to our audience and the music that has carried us all.”
Tickets for the tour go on sale in September 2025. With new music and a global send-off, King Crimson’s final chapter promises to be nothing short of historic.
