Global superstar Jennifer Lopez is set to return to the American Music Awards (AMAs) as host, electrifying the stage live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on **Monday, May 26, 2025**, which is Memorial Day in the US. This marks her second time leading the fan-voted awards show, a decade after her highly acclaimed hosting debut in 2015. The highly anticipated 51st Annual American Music Awards will air live coast to coast on CBS and stream on Paramount+, promising a night of unforgettable performances, including one from Lopez herself.

Lopez’s return as host is a testament to her enduring appeal and dynamic presence in the music industry. Known for her captivating stage presence and multi-faceted talent as a singer, dancer, and actress, she is poised to bring her unique energy to kick off the summer’s music celebration. Having previously delivered some of the most memorable performances in AMAs history and with three AMAs to her name, including Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Latin Artist, Lopez is a fitting choice to guide the evening’s festivities.

The move of the AMAs to Las Vegas and its broadcast on CBS marks a significant shift for the awards show. For the first time, the AMAs will take place outside the Greater Los Angeles Area, bringing its star-studded energy to the entertainment capital. This new chapter for the AMAs, with Jennifer Lopez at the helm, is set to deliver a spectacular celebration of the year’s most iconic music and artists, while also paying tribute to U.S. troops and veterans on Memorial Day.
