London, UK – Fans across the United Kingdom are eagerly anticipating the return of Pink Floyd icon David Gilmour to the stage, as he is set to perform a highly anticipated six-night residency at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall this October. These dates mark Gilmour’s only confirmed UK shows for 2024, following the release of his new studio album, “Luck and Strange,” on September 6th.
The legendary guitarist and vocalist will grace the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, October 9th; Thursday, October 10th; Friday, October 11th; Saturday, October 12th; Monday, October 14th; and Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. Demand for these intimate performances has been exceptionally high, with tickets having gone on sale earlier in the year.
The “Luck and Strange” tour, Gilmour’s first live performances in eight years, will feature material from his latest album, alongside a selection of beloved Pink Floyd classics and tracks from his extensive solo discography. Fans who have attended his recent shows, including those in Brighton and Rome, have praised his sublime playing and singing, noting the excellent setlist and the exceptional talent of his touring band.
The band accompanying Gilmour on this tour includes Ben Worsley on guitar, Guy Pratt on bass, Greg Phillinganes and Rob Gentry on keyboards, and Adam Betts on drums. Providing backing vocals are Louise Marshall, Charley and Hattie Webb (the Webb Sisters), and Romany Gilmour, David’s daughter, who also contributes vocally and has a prominent role on the new album.
While 2024 offers these exclusive UK dates, there are currently no David Gilmour concerts scheduled for 2025. It is anticipated that Gilmour may be working on new material in the coming year, potentially making future tour dates more likely in 2026.
For those lucky enough to secure tickets, these Royal Albert Hall performances promise to be a captivating journey through the iconic soundscapes of one of music’s most influential guitarists.
