Eric Clapton to Reunite with Members of Influential 1960s Band for One-Night-Only Performance
London, UK — May 1, 2025
In a move that’s sending shockwaves through the music world, legendary guitarist Eric Clapton has announced a special reunion with surviving members of his iconic 1960s band Cream for a one-night-only performance in London this summer.
The historic event, set to take place at the Royal Albert Hall on July 15, 2025, will mark the first time Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker’s son Kofi Baker (standing in for his late father), and bassist Jack Bruce’s son Malcolm Bruce have come together in over a decade to honor the legacy of one of rock’s most groundbreaking groups.
Formed in 1966, Cream was considered the first “supergroup,” blending blues, psychedelic rock, and jazz influences in a way that defined a generation. Their brief but powerful career yielded hits like “Sunshine of Your Love,” “White Room,” and “Crossroads.”
“This isn’t just about nostalgia,” Clapton said in a press release. “It’s about honoring the roots of the music we made and the bond we shared—something that continues through our families and the fans.”
The concert will also feature surprise guest artists and is expected to be streamed globally. Tickets go on sale May 10 and are expected to sell out within minutes.
