About ‘Luck and Strange’
Luck and Strange is Gilmour’s fifth solo studio album and his first in nine years. The album features lyrics primarily written by his wife, Polly Samson, and contributions from their children, including vocals and instrumentation. Themes of aging and mortality are prevalent throughout the album, which has been praised as some of Gilmour’s best work since Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.
Looking Ahead
As Gilmour prepares for the 2025 tour, he has expressed enthusiasm about performing alongside a talented band and sharing new material with fans worldwide. Plans for a follow-up album are already underway, with Gilmour and Samson eager to continue their creative collaboration.
