“Ace of Base Original Lineup Announces 2025 Comeback Tour and New Album After 20
In a surprise announcement that no one saw coming, the original members of Ace of Base — Jonas Berggren, Ulf Ekberg, Jenny Berggren, and reclusive former lead singer Linn Berggren — have revealed plans for a world tour and a brand-new studio album, marking their first full reunion in over two decades.
The news broke early this morning through a nostalgic video teaser posted on the group’s newly reactivated Instagram page, featuring vintage VHS footage of the band during their 1993 global domination era, followed by the cryptic caption: “It’s time. 2025. We’re back.”
Fans have long speculated about a possible reunion, especially after Jenny and Jonas hinted in past interviews that they remained open to it. However, Linn Berggren’s near-total disappearance from the public eye since the early 2000s had made a full reunion seem impossible — until now.
The new album, reportedly titled “The Sign Returns”, is being produced in collaboration with Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, with a blend of modern electro-pop and signature ‘90s reggae-dance beats. A major European summer festival tour is already in the works, with dates in Berlin, Stockholm, London, and Paris, followed by a North American leg in the fall.
“We wanted to do this for the fans who’ve kept our music alive all these years,” said Jenny Berggren. “It’s more than nostalgia — it’s a rebirth.”
Fans are already calling this the pop comeback of the decade.
