“Lorna Shore Cancel Upcoming Album and North American Tour Amid Unexpected Setbacks”
New Jersey deathcore band Lorna Shore has announced a sudden and sweeping cancellation of their highly anticipated fifth studio album I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me—originally set for release on September 12, 2025—and the accompanying North American tour.
In a statement released late Friday, the band cited “unexpected setbacks” that have made it impossible to proceed as planned. While no further details have been provided, the announcement comes less than a month after the launch of their second single, “Unbreakable,” which debuted on June 25 to widespread acclaim.
The abandoned album and tour represented a bold return following a months-long buildup: the May 16 announcement included first single “Oblivion,” an extensive track list, multiple vinyl editions, and a 30-date North American trek featuring support from The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow of Intent, and PeelingFlesh. Fans had already begun planning for a fall immersion into Lorna Shore’s latest sonic vision.
Guitarist Adam De Micco remains on board with the band as they navigate this turbulent period. Vocalist Will Ramos, who joined the band in 2021 and has been central to their renewed creative energy, is presumed to be part of the lineup for the rescheduled material.
While no specifics have been given, sources close to the band suggest the disruptions may stem from production delays, logistical complications, or personal matters. The cancellation follows an earlier milestone last month: the widely praised release of the second single, “Unbreakable,” which Ramos described as a “triumphant, all-inclusive song.”
Century Media Records, the label behind the project, has yet to release an official comment. Refunds for pre-orders and ticket purchasers are expected to be processed imminently.
The band has promised more details “soon,” leaving the metal community on alert for a potential rethink of strategy and timing.
