Paul McCartney Legendary Musician Continues Prolific Outfit And Animated Films

Legendary musician Paul McCartney shows no signs of slowing down, with a busy 2025 slate that includes a voice role in an upcoming animated film, the release of a new book, and a strong hint at a fresh studio album.

The former Beatle is set to lend his voice to a walrus character in Gaumont Animation’s feature film High In The Clouds, currently in production and aiming for a 2027 release. The film, based on McCartney’s own adventure book co-written with Philip Ardagh, will feature 13 original songs composed by McCartney, with six slated for the final cut. Early teases from Gaumont suggest song titles like “Happy Morning” and “I Will Always Be There.”

Fans can also look forward to “Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run,” a new book penned by McCartney himself, set to be released on November 4, 2025. The book promises a landmark account of McCartney’s post-Beatles musical journey with Wings, offering insights drawn from extensive interviews and previously unseen photographs.

In a New Year’s resolution shared earlier this year, McCartney revealed his intention to “finish an album” in 2025. Having wrapped up his “Got Back” tour in late 2024, which saw him joined by fellow Beatle Ringo Starr at a London show, McCartney indicated he’s eager to get back into the studio and finalize new material that had been set aside due to touring commitments. His last solo album, McCartney III, was released in 2020 and topped the UK charts.

Recent appearances also include McCartney joining Bruce Springsteen on stage in Liverpool, delighting fans and students at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. While no further tour dates are currently confirmed for 2025, the anticipation for new music from the iconic artist remains high.
