Will Ramos and Austin Archey Depart Lorna Shore, Launch New Band “Eclipsed Throne”
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the deathcore community, vocalist Will Ramos and drummer Austin Archey have officially parted ways with Lorna Shore, announcing the formation of their new musical project, Eclipsed Throne.
The announcement came via a joint statement released on social media early Monday morning. Ramos and Archey cited a desire for greater creative freedom and a new artistic direction as their primary motivations. “Lorna Shore has been an unforgettable chapter in our lives,” Ramos wrote. “But the time has come to carve a new path — one that reflects where we are now, musically and personally.”
Austin Archey added, “This isn’t the end — it’s a rebirth. We’re building something that channels everything we’ve learned, but pushes even further into the unknown.”
Lorna Shore, formed in 2010, skyrocketed to global fame following Ramos’s addition to the band in 2021. His dynamic vocal range and Archey’s relentless drumming helped redefine the boundaries of modern deathcore, particularly with the critically acclaimed Pain Remains album.
While details about Eclipsed Throne remain scarce, the duo teased a sound that blends deathcore, black metal, and cinematic orchestration — continuing their signature intensity while introducing “new emotional dimensions.”
Fans have responded with a mixture of excitement and bittersweet farewells. Lorna Shore has confirmed that they will continue with remaining members and will announce new developments soon.
As the genre grapples with the implications of this high-profile split, all eyes are on what Ramos and Archey will unleash next. If their past work is any indication, Eclipsed Throne may very well become a new cornerstone in extreme music. The first single is expected to drop later
this summer.
