New Order Confirms New Double Album and Global Tour for 2025
May 27, 2025 — Exciting news has just dropped for fans around the world: legendary synth-pop pioneers New Order have announced they will be releasing a brand-new double album later this year, accompanied by a highly anticipated global tour.
Frontman Bernard Sumner revealed, “After reflecting on our musical journey, we wanted to create something expansive and ambitious. This double album captures both our classic sound and new explorations—it’s a celebration of our past and future.”
Titled “Future Past Present,” the double album marks New Order’s first full-length studio release since 2015’s Music Complete. It promises an immersive experience, blending the band’s signature electronic and post-punk influences with fresh, modern production. Band members Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham, and Tom Chapman are all heavily involved in the project.
To support this landmark release, New Order will launch a worldwide tour in late 2025, with dates across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. A special series of shows in their hometown of Manchester is also planned, offering fans a unique blend of new material and classic favorites.
The announcement has sparked immense excitement online, with the hashtag “#NewOrder2025” quickly trending worldwide. Fans are calling it the band’s most ambitious work in years and eagerly await the chance to hear the new songs live.
