Blackburn Rovers had been linked with Gustavo Puerta but the Bayer Leverkusen man is now set to join Brondby, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
Blackburn Rovers are in the market for some more new additions over the final weeks of the transfer window having enjoyed a much-needed upturn in business before the start of the campaign.
The likes of Makhtar Gueye, Yuki Ohashi, Andi Weimann and Danny Batth all joined John Eustace’s ranks in quick succession. John Eustace and co aren’t looking to stop there though with more irons in the fire.
Numerous players have been linked with moves to Ewood Park. One mentioned in recent reports has been midfielder Gustavo Puerta, who is on the books at German title holders Bayer Leverkusen.
However, the Colombian midfielder will not be heading to Blackburn Rovers.
Writing on X, reporter Sacha Tavolieri states that Puerta, who also had interest from RSC Anderlecht, is now set to head to Denmark with Brondby. As previously said by Farzam Abolhossseini, the 21-year-old will be moving for a fee of €3.5m on a permanent deal with €1m in add-ons.
