Netflix is set to release a new documentary titled ‘A Life in 12 Bars’ that delves into the life and career of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. Directed by Oscar winner Lili Fini Zanuck, the film will explore Clapton’s musical journey—from his early days with The Yardbirds and Cream to his evolution as a solo artist—and provide an intimate look into his personal struggles, including his battles with addiction and the profound loss of his son in 1991.
This documentary adds to Netflix’s existing collection of Clapton-focused content. Previously, the platform featured ‘Eric Clapton – The 1970s Review,’ a 2013 film that examines Clapton’s career during that decade through interviews and archival concert footage.
‘A Life in 12 Bars’ is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike, offering a comprehensive look at Clapton’s legacy both as a musician and an individual. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, the documentary is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year.
