A previously unreleased track by the late Olivia Newton-John titled “My Dream” has surfaced, offering fans a poignant glimpse into the singer’s enduring legacy and her commitment to cancer research. The song was discovered by Newton-John’s friend and collaborator, Jim Brickman, among old cassette tapes following her passing in 2022. Originally recorded during a relaxed session at Newton-John’s Malibu home, “My Dream” reflects her hope for a cure for cancer, aligning with her lifelong advocacy for holistic treatment approaches and cancer research.
To complete the track, Brickman enlisted the help of the Italian trio Il Volo, aiming to capture the song’s emotional depth. All profits from the song are directed to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation, supporting initiatives dedicated to realizing a world beyond cancer. Newton-John’s widower, John Easterling, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, highlighting the timeliness and impact of the release.
