A’ja Wilson Was  Ejected After Heated Clash with Officials in 87-95 Defeat to Dallas Wings …..

The tension inside reached a boiling point Thursday night as Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson was shockingly ejected during the fourth quarter of an emotional 95-87 loss to the Dallas Wings on May 28, 2026.

Wilson, visibly frustrated throughout the night over several no-calls in the paint, exploded after being whistled for an offensive foul with just under six minutes remaining in the game. The reigning MVP immediately turned toward officials, passionately arguing the decision while teammates attempted to calm her down.

According to courtside witnesses, Wilson repeatedly shouted that she had been “disrespected all night” before slamming the ball to the hardwood in frustration. Referee Marcus Hill quickly issued a technical foul, but the situation escalated moments later when Wilson continued protesting near the scorer’s table. Officials then delivered a second technical, resulting in an automatic ejection that stunned the home crowd.

Fans inside the arena erupted with boos as Wilson walked off the court, waving sarcastically toward the officiating crew while Aces head coach Becky Hammon furiously argued from the sidelines.

Before her ejection, Wilson had recorded 28 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks in what was otherwise another dominant performance. However, her absence in the closing minutes allowed Dallas to seize momentum behind a late scoring burst from Arike Ogunbowale and rookie sensation Jade Melbourne.

Following the game, Hammon criticized the officiating without directly naming referees.

“You want stars in this league, but tonight the game became about something else,” Hammon said during her postgame press conference.

Wilson declined to speak with reporters afterward, leaving the arena nearly 40 minutes after the final buzzer while league officials reportedly reviewed the incident.

The WNBA has not yet announced whether further disciplinary action o

r fines will follow.
