George demanded a four-year max deal and after the Clippers refused to go that high he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, forming a new “Big 3” in the Eastern Conference.
In the wake of George’s departure, Los Angeles rebounded by signing Nicolas Batum, Kris Dunn, Kevin Porter Jr. and Mo Bamba in free agency.
They also managed to re-sign James Harden to a two-year deal worth up to $70 million.
By all accounts, the Clippers will field a weaker roster during the 2024-25 NBA season, but under head coach Tyronn Lue they’re still expected to be competitive in a loaded Western Conference.
However, one name that might be on the move is Bones Hyland who looks like he might be on the outside looking in of the rotation via Mike Scotto of HoopsHype.
“With the Clippers re-signing James Harden, adding Kevin Porter Jr. in free agency, and reportedly in line to acquire Kris Dunn via a sign-and-trade, [Bones Hyland] could potentially become expendable.”
Bones Hyland could be on the move 👀, per @MikeAScotto

Hyland carried a lot of promise and hype when he was with the Denver Nuggets, but when he landed in Los Angeles he saw his minutes and role diminish.
Known for his outside shooting and scoring, Hyland could help a few teams as a spark plug off the bench and he should hold some value in trade talks.
For now, though, it remains to be seen if a team will look to trade for the young guard.
