Fresh violence has erupted in the Middle East after Iran launched another wave of missile attacks targeting the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, causing explosions across the densely populated metropolitan area and leaving several locations damaged.
Residents across central Israel were jolted awake as air-raid sirens sounded and Israel’s missile defense systems scrambled to intercept incoming projectiles. Witnesses reported seeing bright rocket trails streaking across the night sky before multiple loud explosions echoed over Tel Aviv and nearby cities.
Emergency services quickly deployed teams to investigate several impact sites. According to Israeli authorities, missile fragments and debris caused damage to buildings and residential areas in and around the city. In some locations, falling debris from intercepted missiles ignited small fires and forced residents to evacuate nearby structures.
Rescue officials confirmed that emergency responders inspected a number of damaged properties, including a residential building where a yard and surrounding trees were struck. Police also reported several projectiles falling in central Israel, leading to property damage but limited casualties in the latest barrage.
The attack is part of a wider escalation between Iran and Israel that has intensified in recent days. Tehran says the strikes are retaliation for joint military operations carried out by Israel and the United States against Iranian targets. Since the start of the confrontation, numerous missile and drone attacks have been exchanged across the region.
Military analysts say the conflict has increasingly targeted densely populated urban areas, raising fears of a wider regional war and greater civilian casualties if hostilities continue to intensify.
As emergency crews continue clearing debris and assessing structural damage, Israeli authorities have urged residents to remain alert and follow safety instructions, warning that further missile launches cannot be ruled out.
The situation remains volatile, with international leaders closely monitoring developments and calling for restraint amid growing concerns that the crisis could expand beyond Israel and Iran.
